FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What type of Covid testing is this?2020-11-07T23:10:08+00:00

We use the most reliable tests, the COVID-19 RT-PCR test.  This is a real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) test for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid from SARS-CoV-2 in upper and lower respiratory specimens (such as nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swabs, sputum, lower respiratory tract aspirates, bronchoalveolar lavage, and nasopharyngeal wash/aspirate) collected from individuals suspected of COVID-19.

What is the difference between rapid testing and PCR?2020-11-07T23:02:41+00:00

Rapid tests test for proteins on the surface of the virus, not if the virus is present.  Our test, the rT-PCR test, detects that the virus is present.

How much does this cost?2020-11-07T23:05:37+00:00

All tests, telemedicine visits, and services are at NO COST to you.  As directed by Federal Law, we will bill your insurance company or the government for the tests.  There are NO CO-PAYMENTS required.

How long will it take to get my test results?2020-11-07T23:08:02+00:00

Results typically take 2-3 days and may be viewed on the ACCESS TEST RESULTS page.  If you do not see your results, please call us.
